Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden important trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
